Al Gore has done service to all humanity by his presentation of “An Inconvenient Truth” This is mostly a giant screen presentation on climate change, its effect, and possible turnaround. Scattered along the narrative are many a gem, to quote a few 

·        What gets us into trouble is not what we don’t know. It’s what we know for sure that just aint so.

·        It is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends on his not understanding it.

·        Humanity already possesses the fundamental scientific, technical and industrial know how to solve the carbon and climate problems.

The descriptions are lucid, the presentation simple, and the tone very balanced. It is all in the manner of a professional who knows and has learnt by his failure that politics thrives over all, and one has to make moves without annoying and antagonising anyone if he has to succeed selling an idea that works.
